Cycling in a group setting is beneficial because participants can push or modify their workouts depending upon what their desiring to achieve on an individual basis. Physiologically - cycling improves cardiorespiratory fitness. Psychologically - everyone cycling can push and support one another as a team to achieve their individual goals. This group cohesion creates an atmosphere where individuals tend to have positive experiences, thus firing up intrinsic motivation - a positive feedback loop!
